I installed the beta demo recently and I must say that the game rocks at first sight... The gameplay really remembers me the first UT, (awww, the enforcers are back <3). The flak cannon rocks as well!!! For game performance, I did a benchmark with fraps in my AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4gh's, 1gb RAM PC667 and twintech 8500 GT overclocked to 650/1000 and teh results are:
Frames: 8720
Time: 4 minutes
min: 26 fps
max: 52 fps
average: 37
The game is with AA and all that stuff off, game in 1280x800 with details both to 5, in other words, everything in game maxed out except resolution

Replace vctf-suspense with the map you want to run bench on.
The command is for 60 secs (i think it's enough).
On my system, single core Athlon@2.5GHz, 1.5GB ram, 1900GT i have next results (1280x1024):
Average fps 38 fps (all maxed out)
Average fps 55 fps (all turned off/minimum possible tweaking the config file)
Average fps 49 fps (resonable settings for decent graphics - sliders on 2/1)

Pretty small difference in fps, dunno why but it is...

I guess my average would be 30FPS for DM and around 25 for vCTF. Which i think is very good with maxed out settings with the kind of old machine that i have. I just recently bought the X2 CPU and made a world of difference on number of games but i mainly just got it for UT3 only. Untill i can afford an uber top end machine... i was absolutely happy with the FPS that im getting, and i can average over 40FPS with the average medium settings (world detail/texture on 3 and default). I had 0 problems installing this demo, it worked straight away for me.

hope this helps some ppl. I didn't try a heap load of bots as really the DM maps aren't really big enough it jus gets too crowded but if ppl want me to benchmark more bots i can certainly try... and sorrry for all the numbers here, i just wanted to post several tests so you guys could see the average FPS for yourselfs instead of a single benchmark test....

For ppl that dont know how to use bechmarking with FRAPS, load fraps before playing the game, select the options in the FPS tab of fraps that you want, and then while your playing the game, hit F11 to start bechmarking. The FPS counter will disapear and re-appear when the benchmarking is done, which is saved to a log file in the fraps folder.
