Which component should I upgrade in priority?

So I've been playing the UT3 demo, and I've been enjoying it much. There were some things where I was skeptical, but I ended up enjoying. I see complaints in the forums, but for the most part, I can live with them as I'm a casual fan. (Still a fan no doubt)

    But that's not the point.

The point is thus: I can play this game at 3 on world detail/tex detail and 100% screen percentage fine in multiplayer vCTF. It gets choppy in the deathmatch games and the single player games.

The fact that Suspense (the vCTF map) runs fine in multiplayer tells me that my system isn't too far from being good to run this game at a satisfactory level.

    My system is thus:
    Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2ghz)
    Nvidia 256mb XFX GeForce 7600GT
    1.5gb of RAM

Now I see the recommended system requirements wants a dual core, but I've been wondering if a dual core would kill all or at least most of the choppiness I've been experiencing on HeatRay (kinda choppy) or ShariLa(w/e but really choppy, even on lowest settings)

My question is thus: Of these components, which one should I upgrade first to get the most boost of satisfaction possible?

    A dual core processor?
    A better Vid card?
    More ram? (doubt it)

I know dual cores can affect games nowadays, and I'm unsure where UT3 stands with hyperthreading, but take Supreme Commander for example. The frame rates take a massive jump when switching from a single core to a dual core. Thus I need to know, which one do I need to upgrade first? (And yes, I am on a monthly budget.)

Guys, I'm asking about priority. Of course I'd upgrade the Card AND the processor. Price is an issue, so I need to take it one step at a time. Thus, name WHICH ONE I should upgrade first.

Ram is fine, and yes the video card and dual core would help you. But its also a price matter. If you got the money, upgrade both. If you don't, I would say the video card.

Looking at your current specs...I would suggest your CPU. A duel core solution, I think would help greatly, especially if you take into account the future PC game releases

That was fairly useless. It dropped me a little right of the middle of Minimum and Recommended.

Then it proceeded to tell me that my processor is short of the recommended and tells me I should buy an XPS system, and that my 7600GT falls short of a 7800GT. : / Like I didn't know that.

My budget is about $100, give or take. My motherboard is a socket 939 I believe, and I'm somewhat reluctant to upgrade my mobo yet.

I think 60 some dollars will net me a 939 athlon x2 on newegg. Still wondering though.

It's not worth upgrading to anything from that with your budget, save up for a completely new rig.

LOOOOL...well its just to give you an idea. No doubt its part marketing to get users to buy.
I say as your system stands, your gfx card is fine and can wait. CPU would be the next logical step.
But as you say, you're not willing to upgrade your board and CPU. So you pretty much have only one choice LOOOL !!

Well the thing is, my budget increases with time, and the reason I said I'm reluctant to upgrade my board is... budget... so...

But either way, I'm leaning towards CPU now. If anyone else wants to offer advice, shoot. Otherwise it's good I guess.

Will a 2.2ghz dual core work fine?

The case! Get a case made out of a dragon skull, or a decomissioned missile, or a toilet tank!

Video card, for sure. Overclock that CPU.

I don't have the greatest cooling, and it gets pretty hot around here in california sometimes. Overclocking is a bit risky for me.
