    Weapon model style

    In general, I love the look of the new UT, but one of the things that bothers me slightly is the style of the weapon models, the Biorifle and Link Gun specifically. If UT2003 was influenced by Quake 3 then these two weapon models surely draw on Halo. Rather to strongly. The style of the weapons in Unreal and UT was a nice sort of high-tech/industrial mix, but now they give the slightly plastic, alien impression that Halo did.

    Not that they are in any way deficient in quality, but I want to see the unique Unreal feel come through more strongly. Your thoughts?

    I think the new models look less realistic than the old ones. What about all those exposed moving parts? Don't they easily break/jam with all that stuff flying around in the arena? ;-)

    One reason to prefer the old models... anyway: it's called _Unreal_ Tournament and those animations just look cool...

      Now when we're on the topic of weapon models... What happened to having the model centered?
