The UT series to me is the bread and butter of my gaming life.
I started off with UT99 when i was young, playing offline for months until i finally got hold of a 56k modem. After 2 years in the instagib CTF clan scene, i went to uni and purchased UT2003. I didnt really get into it immediately, and went back to ut99.
However, about 6 months later came back to UT2003 - towards the end of its tenure. Got myself involved in the clan scene again, and when UT2004 came out, made the immediate switch with my clan and played the game solidly through most of university.
Finally after over 4 years of UT, i came to WoW, which sucked my soul out and dragged me from the bloodthirsty adrenaline fuelled fps world into one far less satisfying and yet more addictive.
I have now been waiting for a year for UT3 to come and rescue me from my boredom, and view its impending release with nothing short of hysterical anticipation.

I got a bit carried away there....simple answer to the question is that UT to me is the greatest gaming experience available in terms of visuals, community and playability.

UT99, U2, UT2k3, UT2k4 and soon the one that shuts down the Internet UT3.

When you start dreaming about the game. You got the UT sickness.

It's the only game that kept me interested in more than a week. Played UT2k4 for 2 years...

UT3 means I've got to wait until UT4 most likely beyond for epic to bring back the glory of UT99. Since UT epic has gone down hill putting out games that have nice graphics and aweful game play. If epic would just remake UT99 keeping the same physics and adding some up to date touches it would be awesome. I don't want all these retarded guns and flying ships, cars and all the other bs. UT3 is looking just like Halo 3. No FPS should have vehicles to run people over with period.

This game is the only game tht has kept me intersted for more than a few months. Also theres always something new out there just waiting for you to find and try out. And the intensity of a good, equal game tht gets the adrenaline pumping, where every frag seems like a major victory against an equal opponent. And my personal favorite, fragging tht @$$hole on the DM surver thts semingly unstoppable who prolly thinks you dont deserve to even own the game. **** I love this game.

EDIT: Forgot to mention hearing the satisfying words uttered from your computer "Double kill..... multi kill....Mega Kill...." and so on.
