    PerfHUD Screenshot of UT3

I was messing around on the nVidia site and discovered a little tool they (sell?) called PrefHUD. From a quick read through I understand that it analyses the games engine to see how intensive it is for certain parts of the GPU.

While scrolling through I saw a screenie that was unmistakably from UT3. So here's a link. Its the largest res I could find on the site, but its still reasonably readable.

I can't tell exactly what the PrefHUD is saying about it on the graphs, but if anyone can shed some light on what it means I, at least, would appreciate it.

    I see:

    1. Impact Hammer
    2. Enforcer
    3. Link Gun ??
    4. Shock Rifle
    5. Cannister Gun ??
    6. Stinger ??
    7. Flak Cannon
    8. Rocket Launcher
    9. Sniper Rifle
    0. Redeemer

But i gotta say, the HUD looks simply divine.

Your comp can display screenshots? Wow, old technology has come so far

I thought someone might be able to tell something from the graphs overlaying the game itself...

I think the third slot holds the bio instead of the lg and the fifth slot holds the lg instead of the cg.

I agree from my perspective. Don't count on my 40/20 vision tho....

Do you realize you've completely missed the topic of this thread?

Its high VId but whats AGP mean?
I do think the graphics are amazing especially if you look left of the Aimer... it shows graphics effects happen in game.

It's quite appealing, although i play with the HID in the minimum size possible.

If there was the name of the GFX card, you could at least tell how the game would run on our machines xD

yeah I had a good look round the site for specs... to no avril.

From what I can tell from the pic (pure guess work here)
                            the initials mean:
                            top left graph
                            VA - ???
                            SHD - shaders
                            TEX - textures
                            ROP - ???

                            top right
                            VS - Vertex Shaders
                            GS - ???
                            PS - Pixel Shaders

                            bottom right
AGP (MB) - Vid card memory - maybe they're running it on an AGP card?!
                            VID (MB) - RAM Memory...?

As far as my guess work goes with this...
                            - UT3 relies more on RAM than vid memory
                            - It needs advanced pixel shaders, combined with a fast card.

So basically we know nothing much more. maybe SLI will make a sizable diff?

High likelihood I am talking complete B*S*

GS logically stands for geometry shader. the fact that this is displayed could mean that this screenshot was made with an G80.

I guess that VID (MB) is the used video memory and AGP (MB) could be the amount of video memory lent from the RAM (when the usual VRAM is full).

Important: This is speculation, too. I haven't worked with this tool and don't really know what it shows here.
