Ageia PhysX demonstration using UT3 Mod (Tornado Videos)

Hmm, then the icon might be just a placeholder for all pickups. It's probably a Berserk pickup afterall.

That icon is probably a placeholder yeah... The pickup itself looked something like a red flame of sorts. And I really liked the glow effect on the weapon.

This video really has me worried about the fate of UT3. The aesthetics look like a UT2004 level and the 'Berserk' power up only leads me to believe adrenaline combo's are making their way back in the form of power ups instead.

I hope the adrenaline combo power ups are mutators only, or confined to this map (or that its actually just the UDamage). Also I hope this is the only physics style gimmick map in the roster. I don't if I can deal with any more UT2004 style looking maps either. They never did fit the Unreal universe properly.

It clearly says Berserk when the player picks it up. I would expect a mutator to turn it off, similar to NoSuperweapons.

Personally, I like it. Feels very Unreal to me.

Also I hope this is the only physics style gimmick map in the roster. I don't if I can deal with any more UT2004 style looking maps either. They never did fit the Unreal universe properly.

This map, as far as I can tell, is designed to showcase the PhysX card, so I wouldn't fear it being the norm, or even available online.

Yeah. That's what I gathered. I just don't think I can handle another duff UT after 2 on the trot (2003/4)!

The Ageia Tornado level is not actually part of UT3 but rather a mod for UT3 created by Ageia to show off their Physx physics processor. There is some pretty cool physics going on in that level. It is quite interesting to play.

that being said... of the levels that are being included in the game... and more specifically, of the (very few) levels that make use of the PPU... will we be seeing that kind of action? if so, i might get the PPU.
