Shots of these players in this goldish looking armor have existed for a while, but lately they've been showing a lot of other screens of the same armor in blue, against red players. So I kept with the thought that this was merely the default color for that team. Now with this pic I am starting to reconsider.

It is clearly a team-based game, with red players against gold players. This could be an important clue that 4 team play, or at least 4 color choices, are in. Since the pics all seem to be from the same set - taken in the same period of time, it is unlikely to me that there is any other explanation for it like "they just hadn't colored the skins yet".

It's a promo picture, don't try to find much sense in it.
One team is IronGuard, only they have gold as a major color for armor. Other is Twin Soul, and they have red as a major color. You won't find any picture with Twin Soul have gold armor on it. So these are their default colors.

Could be, but there are some odd things here then. The player lights that is shown in the vids, why does only 2 of these characters have them, and why does the dude with the link have neutral (supposedly) green color on the lights when his suit is red? The lights on the closest gold char seems totally missing. Maybe this is something from the sp campaign?

I read in a German print magazine that there indeed is a yellow/gold team. THe editors got invited to EPIC's and mentiond the yellow team in their test-play session.

I think it's a single player campaign deal. The red team is your single player team and you probably play the other teams in single player with their default team colors enabled. Red vs. Blue is reserved for multiplayer.
