Official box art...

Just because I haven't seen anyone else complain about it yet... does anyone else dislike the box art? Overall I like the layout, color scheme, and the background (Tripod's of death for the win !) but something about the characters on the front doesn't sit right with me. Where's Malcolm? Xan? Brock? All those classic and "important" original UT icons I grew up with? Hell...I'd settle for a Nali Warcow....xD!


(Now all I have to do is sit and wait patiently for the system requirements so I can curl into a ball and begin to cry about how I need a new rig.)

EDIT 2* You know, the more I look at the 3 red lines that are made of flowing blood the more I see an Atari symbol. Possible homage to the old atari community? xD

Id rather the box white was back... how we have seen before

It looks a litte bit empty on the sides. The space should be filled by other characters, maybe a Krall and a female Necris.

The characters armor does not look good, becaue it is red armor on red background. Maybe a yellow armor might work.

The more I look at it the more I like it and how the 3 lines in the background are insignificant. So instead of people going "Wow, UT3...i'd get owned...I never played the other two!" they'll just see this as a new game. (I'm talking to all you Gears fans =p)

The characters face is the problem, he looks like a chav, whos face is a cross between that **** from GOW and WWE's Batista.

But i think the banner looks awesome, i always loved those loincloths.... and his suit is awesome IMO.... really great design.

Personally i like the character ALOT, but the face is not for me.... but im not gonna ***** about it.....

Alot of people on here are IMPOSSIBLE to please and are constantly *****ing about EVERYTHING.... They expect the game to be made to their exact specifications.... i hate to break it to you, but epic are not making this game for you.... they are making it for all UT fans, and many of them dont feel the need to constantly complain.

As the box is already quite gothic with the flowing blood i bet it would look better with a black rather than white background. Could anyone knock up a black version quickly???

i would do one but im at work atm.

I think the white is more eyecatching, it helps the case stand out. I like this box art, red white and black are the most powerful colours you can use for any emblem, goverments and companies know this and exploit it.

Lauren looks better than what she did in UT2004. She looks like a freakin monkey in that game. Pathetic. Found it funny how she looked better in UT99 than in UT2004.

Or a remake based on the original model from UT99.
