Hello UT addicts!

My name is GrendelKhan{TSU}, an admin at Unreal Addicts - Premier Unreal Tournament Sniper Clan and UT Community (home of Unreal Tournament Sniper Clan, Clan TSU - The Sniper Upstarts.) Hope its ok to post this... but with all the hoopla around the much heralded UT3 release (hopefully sooner rather than tooooo much later), I thought I'd post our UT community site to show that UT community IS still alive and kickin and waiting to explode on the gaming scene again.

TSU was originally "just" a UT clan site (UTSA - UT sniper clan at that), but we've been around since 1999 (old school in the house!! this is version 2, as we were down for a little while ) and have long since expanded to all Unreal Tournament related and, heck, other gaming, stuff. Of course, we have a UT3 forum with latest UT3 news (all platforms).

Honestly, I don't know about overall, but we've been seeing a big decline in the UT community until the new UT3 is out... we are trying to do our part to help keep th UT community alive and kicking. So, I hope people come around to our site and share some UT enthusiasm.

In the least, we'd love to some much coveted feedback and comments to let us know what you think of our site or how we can improve before UT3 hits.

lol. It is to be expected. and don't make its sound like a bad thing! as long as its not spam for spam sake (and are actual REAL UT related communities or clans), I actually think its a good thing, no?

ie: good to know for reference, clans are the heart of the UT community, a lot of recruitment is done this way, and it helps keep community together (or connected) overall

and outside of actually paying for advertising, not many ways to promote independent UT related sites.
So, with that... come by... (it won't kill ya, and heck..you MIGHT even like it )

This is the 6th community to pop up this week, myself i think its best to wait till the game is really out simple because what have you got that every other site hasn't got already.....

You need a selling point all i can see so far is that you like to use sniper guns...

Any why.... less of my *****ing yes looks like a nice site, but i have registered to why to many sites this last month, so going to sit this one out

This is the 6th community to pop up this week, myself i think its best to wait till the game is really out simple

well... we've been around since 1999 (some downtime last year...so this is v2), so its not like we just threw it up in prep for UT3. We just added a sub-forum for it.

... and why NOT have a UT3 forum? the announcement one is here with nothing in it. +_+ At least ours is useful for getting latest news and occasional pre-emptive discussion (as it is here )

ps. didn't know about the others. coincedence. weird actually.. all of a sudden. :/

because what have you got that every other site hasn't got already.....

Well... one thing we have that the new sites don't have is HISTORY! Again, Clan TSU has been around and the TSU forums have around since 1999...and that is something, imo. Its small, yah, but we're proud of it and we have good ol fashioned fun. )

but still that means Tens of thousands of (REAL) posts. We'd be 100,000+ if we included our TSU v1 forums. and I'm not talking news feeds (though we've added those now too.) That is.... we have active discussions, posting and members (which is not really easy to builid for private UT community, much less this far ahead of UT3.) Show me a "new" UT / indepedent community with that. There aren't many.

And that's probably more important than any other "selling point"...
but if you must....we got tons of those too.... hehe..

1. burgeoning mapper's development community in the Mapping Mayhem Forums. learn and show off your maps.
2. REAL contests for UT stuff. here was our latest for a UT logo hat and beanie: (TSU screenshot contest: http://www.UnrealAddicts.com/forums/...t-contest.html)
3. The TSU forums has a whole array of fun extras:

• popular TSU Arcade (active tournaments! HUNDREDS of games)
• interactive Gamers WorldMap; (come on...that's pretty cool, no?)
• ever growing Photo Gallery (yes, like REAL people and photos uploaded)
• robust, and open Links / Download Directory (get FREE music, maps, fun links etc)
• USERBAR GENERATOR (heh..I'd use mine here but epic doesn't allow img tags grr.)
• FREE imagehosting (for registered members of course)
• Earning forum cash, tournaments, groups, Item shop to name a few)...

ok. I'll give that...to a degree. We have tons of good selling points (imo) as I mentioned, but that said, its a good point that it doesn't communicate quickly "so you can see it", as you said.

To be clear, again, it was oringinally a sniper only clan site, but has since expanded to cover all UT and other games (and just fooking around ).

perhaps a more general domain name? TSUgamers .com or something?

cause clans and independent sites are the heart of the community. imho. Most UT addicts have been a part of one in one form or another...no?

don't know why a motion blur thread would be closed though. sounds like a useful topic.

1. We started last century
2. We are not owned and operated by 13 year olds.
3. We have a community we are wanting to help gear
towards ut3. Come help do that for Hundreads of people.
4. We maintain forums, VOIP servers, and soon to have
gaming servers back online.

We're not saying we are the best, we're not saying "PLEAZZ GOD JOIN US NOW KTHX". We are saying just give us a look, if you like what you see awsome, if not thank u for your time. We are The Sniper Upstarts, we have been for close to a decade now, Unreal Tournament oriented 100%. That may mean just another new clan to all of you but to us it means everything. All we ask, is that maybe if the slight bit curious or bored as all hellz one day, drop by and see what we have going on, it may surprise ya.

you can still go to www.ClanTSU.org... and it will forward to the correct domain.

We thought www.UnrealAddicts.com would but to serve a the broader UT community. So now we are not only an oldschool UT sniper clan forum but a general Unreal Tournament gaming community (cover lots of UT3 stuff in fact.)
