Well along with the other voice command that you can give to bot, hopefully a voice command of “Link to me” will cause a bot next to you to use his link gun and link to you allowing you to dish out some massive damage. How cool would that be. Epic please add this to the command list please.

I think they should also make primary fire on the linky more powerful aswell, 'cos when I play online I can empty about 100 ammo into the back of someones head and they just turn around and flak me

Yep I’ve seen this behavior by the bots many times. Bad programming or are they messing with our heads. Hmmmmmm……………I wonder

I've seen this behaviour in human players too... the bots are just programmed to be newbies... the most realistic bot AI ever!

Yeah I think the bots would rather mess with your head. I see the link icon above the bots head and I see a link gun in the bots hand and approaching enemy fighters so I try to link to the bot and invariably the bot switches weapons and says “I’m on your team idiot”. Well no **** Sherlock. I was trying to link to you. And you wonder why the noobs think you’re trying to shoot them.

yes there are visual and audio cues that you are "linked" but its still an underused feature but a really good one and another that makes UT stand out. hopefully itll be more used this time around and encouraged more somehow by the game... maybe an additional audio cue that actually says "Linked!" when you linkup with a teammate would be cool

and yeah, you should be required to play a tutorial before going online -or at least make it difficult to abort the t00t...

Well, I hope the bots understand the linkgun, this time around. If I've got a Link, and a bot has one right next to me, when I start using it, I want some linkage! And an understanding of link-chaining would be appreciated, too.

Actually I had less trouble dodging them in UT99 than in UT2k4.
But yes, they could do with a big speedboost, which judging from the movies is in.

Moreso I can't believe they'd take out that functionality and still call it the linkgun.
After all, the ability to link is the ONLY difference between the linkgun and the pulsegun.

One thing was that the bots never linked with me. After all there's nothing like haveing big yellow pulses coming out.

There are visual clues in the HUD already.

This is another case for having a mandatory tutorial before being allowed to play online as far as I'm concerned.
