I was under the impression that the AS-type stuff with the conduits and orbs was mostly optional... giving you more resources or whatnot, but not actually required to attack the enemies core.

I could, of course, be very very wrong.

They haven't said much, other than they chose to showcase a vCTF map 'cause a WAR map would take too long to explain properly.

    3) Is there a description online somewhere of how Warfare works?

What I'm wondering if it's based off of Onslaught and uses a variation on the node/power base concept with just the addition of "minigames", or if the entire thing has been revamped from the ground up. From screenshots and other media, I've seen shots of nodes being powered up with link guns and that sort of thing. However, I'd just like a 3rd party "yes, it works like Onslaught" opinion.
I think, warfare works like this:

You fight to the next couple of nodes, then you enter some area - and assault gameplay style begins.. but not UT2004, its UT99 - destroy tyrandium cristal at mazon fortress, escape the castle from Rook etc - you should complete some objectives as fast as possible, using impact hammer, boosting you teammates with rocket launcher (maybe it will be disabled). When you completed assault part, you should go to next nodes (ONS style)

Its what do I think warfare will be like

Wow, I'm truly flattered. I had no idea anyone would even remember those vehicles.

Hanji: Specially uploaded, just for you: http://customize.addondb.com/575/fireblade/ It's been about a year since I've used it , so I can't remember if there was anything left to fix. I did update the camo and tweak a few things. But... I don't have UT2004 installed at the moment so I can't test. I do remember playing online with that version with some friends and tearing the hell out of a few maps.

stephen_wq: Thanks man - I'm looking forward to making some new vehicles for UT3. I've already got one in the modelling phase. That's all I'm saying now - more details will come later when I'm further along.

If epic's going to answer anyone on any questions, make it this guy.

    Gears of War has one

I'd love more information on Warfare... but I think they're going to make us wait. Descriptions I've read say that it's mostly ONS... but people seem to make up there minds about such things with little or no real evidence.

    Couple of Vehicle Modding Questions

    1) What is the vehicle polygon limit?

I know the hellbender from 2K4 was the heaviest at 7,000 tris, and I kept most of my old 2K4 vehicles (Noderunner, Flakrat, etc.) below 5,000. With UT3 I know there's more room to groove, but I don't want to overextend past a certain advisable amount.

BTW, I'm talking about the actual in-game model, not the high-res one used to general the normal maps.

    2) Do any of the released UEn3 games have vehicles? I have Roboblitz, but it's a purely character based game (pretty fun though). I'm wondering if Rainbox Six Vegas or another one has them.
