    Minimum Specs?

Does anyone know what the minimum specs are going to be for this game, or the region in which they'll be in? Will my computer run it?

    AMD AM2 Socket 64x2 3800+ =2.09ghz (no OCing)
    ASUS M2N4-SLI Mobo
    Nvidia Geforce FX7600GT XXX
    1gb Elpida DDR RAM
    250 Seagate SATA 7200rpm HDD
    550w Mios Power Supply
    Turbo Case TA501SB (pic: http://www.tomcom.ca/products/cases/...NP-TA501SB.jpg)
    Logitech Keyboard
    Logitech Mouse
    17" Flatron LG LCD Monitor

    Thinking of adding another FX7600GTXXX....

Epic haven't announced any specs for UT3 yet. Since the game wont be finished for nearly a year, it's unlikely they'll release any specs soon. Sorry.

      +1 to above post.

I would ESTIMATE that you could probably RUN it, but it's going to be serverely stunted on that PC...mainly because of that CPU. The game will be multithreaded (it'll have support for multicored processors) so you might want to upgrade to something in between an X2 4800+ and an X2 5200+ before it comes out. You have a socket AM2, so that shouldn't be a problem. You'll get a nice performance boost by having both a faster processor and dual cores.

You are definitely going to want to grab another stick of ram. The vid card will be your only bottleneck at this point. You can play with that one + some settings turned down until you can afford something better. If you can get another card that will run in SLI with that one, that might be a good way to go, or you could just get a new one altogether.

Your CPU and RAM are definitely your top priorities. I'd expect the game to stutter like crazy with only 1gb of ram, and that CPU is just plain OLD by todays standards. The nice thing about your rig is that it's very easily upgraded. You've got a relatively new BASE that you're building on and you just went lower end in the stuff that you put onto that base. Upgrade as you can.

Incedentally, assuming my tax return allows me to afford it, I'm going to build a Core 2 Duo machine w/ 2gb of ram and an eVGA 8800GTS 640MB Superclocked. The core 2 duo is the E6300 model, but they're EXTREMELY overclockable and I plan on taking full advantage of that.

Anandtech did an article on Rainbow 6: Vegas. Its the first game on the Unreal 3 Engine for PC, and it should give you a ballpark as far as UT3's performance. However, the requirements could be more, could be less for UT3, so take these numbers with a grain of salt. The best approach is to always wait for the demo to come out.

I'm SURE they will be steeper for UT3... The graphics in RB6 were kinda disappointing.

Umm, R6:V cpu req: Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 (2.93GHz/4MB)?
I've just bought an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600... Have I just bought something that can't run UT3? [bangs head on wall]

Yeah, also before I add another GB of RAM should I change my PSU? I've heard it's an unknown company and therefore probably isn't the best quality.......what would you recommend?
