I think this emphasis on SP is the result of the console influence. If it wasn’t for the console they would just make a latter and call it good. I’m sure they don’t want to release a PC version before the console because then the console manufactures would cry. So now we have to wait another year.

    Where is "over here," Australia?

About the krall I really don't want them to give the krall without the armor. In my opinion any charecter without armor looks not that good. I would feel that i shoot him in the stomach once and he is dead (forget about rocket launchers lol). For example the ut2k4 skaarj if they did not have armor they would look vulnerable cockroaches.

    Epic Games Milestone List
    Done

    1) Build Unreal Engine 3.
    2) Make a UT3 with it.
    3) **** engine.

    To Do
    4) Pick up laundry.
    5) Break into id software offices to leave a box of Milk Tray and an insulting note.
    6) Set up another enigmatic webcam in the Epic office.
    7) 8 week team building trip to Barbados.
    8) ROADTRIP!!!
    9) Make a "two weeks" comment, at least 9 months prior to game release.
    10) Get "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" to sort out Tim Sweeney's look.
    11) Organise "Mark Rein for Congress" Campaign.
    12) Climb Mount Everest.
    13) Release UT3.
Since the UT3 Fall+ release announcement happened prior to this post, I guess we can't blame you for giving them ideas for the delay.
But now that there is a delay, you just might be giving them ideas!
If you give them ideas like that they're gonna start losing focus:
::Possible Epic UT3 team member's thoughts::
Hmm, map ideas,..<<Barbados>>.., beaches yea a map with beaches... busty UT babes on white sandy beaches... Hey guys, you know we really could use some relaxspiration for some more ..ehm character models! Yeah thats it! It'd be a "business" trip to see if we can enhance the 'development' of some new 'character' models! I hear Barbados is really awesome this time of year ..for that!
    -
Let us not lead them astray (hee hee)
They're deadline doesn't need to be pushed back ..unnecessarily

Come to think of it, I've not yet seen any TV ads for UT3 yet. I've only seen the ones online...

    2k4

After GOW and a 360 release, UT3 undoubtedly will be a massive success. Not many appreciated how good ut2004 was - even many who actually bought the game. I think 10% more or less for a sequel is going to be way off.
I'd say 2k4 just continued the straying off track that 2k3 started. It may have introduced better graphics and new game modes, but I think its playability on and offline suffered greatly for it. It truly dashed people's hopes for an upgrade to UT99's feel. So, I like many spent money needlessly on 2k3 and 2k4, only to be disappointed by its medium range combat style.

Undoubtedly, lack of marketing had a hand in 2k3/4's lackluster success as well. I think the only place I actually saw 2k4 in use on TV was on a certain Gaming channel show on cable.

    Indeed!
epic is not a retarded company! They made a wise choice to go with midway!
I've seen there marketing skills and i know they have the power to make this game the biggest thing to ever hit the pc!!

Why do you think they changed publishers to Midway?

1.How about fixing the game so that people with a 6600GT and a p4;2.40 can run the game with good looking grafix without loosing fps!!

2.get the game to work on dx9.0c and above(dx10).

    3. make server trancefer rate reliable and stable+ the rest i cant think of!

There is no need for a game that requiars you to have a cable/t1/t2/t3 connection! I bet there running into more trouble then we can think of!

But the good part is leave it to epic to find a way to make it easy!!

    Anticipation...

I would have to say the delay will give me more time to gear up my rig to handle all these new forced hardware requirements (Vi$ta DX10). Though, on the other hand, I can't wait to start gibbing again
    -
As far as the SP goes, I feel its probably only good to get up to snuff with the timing and feel of all the weapons (..and vehicles for those who care).
Learning the maps is also good for SP. Otherwise SP has limited benefit beyond that, unless of course your internet connection gets hosed
    -
Story tends to be more in line with RPG's than FPS's. Unreal at least had the translator filling you in enough to read between the lines of what had happened or was happening. Then again it was primarily for SP.
    -
UT has always been primarly MP and so story will only be superficial so as to not interfere with killin (yep just a hope)
    -
The whole revenge angle of course is to get you to release your anger and thus fall prey to the Darkside! (hee hee) If it improves your game, I see no point in holding it back
    -
Hmm, lets see GTX or GTS 8800? tick tock tick tock....
