I knew UT2K7 wasn't coming out until march / april 2007 and I have no contacts, or any official information whatsoever.

It's just pure common sense.

The "mega surprise which is top secret" is that Epic announce that they are renaming the project to Unreal Tournament 2008.

Something tells me you could be right....but I think they will lose the numbers this time. Man, they really know how to tease.

The reason they wont give a release date is because the game isn't finished yet. It would be truely dumb to announce a release date for a project that isn't even completed.

For one Germans aren't getting information first. Gameinformer.com had this a month ago.

Secondly alot of people knew about this a long time ago. This news is a month old.
