I have a few players on my LAN who are, in spite of liking the game a lot, are god awful and seem unlikely to get much better by being crushed over and over again in multiplayer. Therefore, I'm wondering if there is a console command or somesuch I can use to give these players, say, an instagib rifle whenever they spawn. Normal handicap rules interfere with everyone else too much. This feels like it should be doable...

A handicaps mutator may be an option but it would have to be defined pretty well. You cant do any sort of admin commands in mutators, at least not that i know of.Comment

tell them to practice more.. giving a handicap is BS. No one started out playing a game like a pro....Comment

Just a note. It's on a friendly LAN, so honor system works fine. A mutator re-enabling console commands online would do it, honestly.Comment
