You should check out the Angels Fall First TC mod that a team is working on. There are ground vehicles too, but it seems to be very aerial combat friendly. And work they are doing is pretty good.

Maybe someone will make AirPower for UT3, that would be awesome.

make a classic ww2 or modern-day air combat mod and you'll have something awesome.

We need the Unwheel of air combat to come out that is all about fighting in the air.

Time ago my favourite game was Clusterball
(http://www.clusterball.com)

In that game, little airplane flight in the maps, collecting ball and deploying them in a "base" in order to score points.
They also could fight each othersm using "special" weapons.

In UT2004 I saw only "Air Buccaneers" as a big air-fight mod.

Maybe air-fight games are not so interesting? Let me know.
