    Cull part of a mesh

    Hi everyone,

I'm working on a hospital scene and need part of my skeletal meshes to hide when they are in the hospital bed (just display from shoulders up).
Is there a way to cull part of a mesh using a volume or would this be acheived in the material?

Assuming skeletal meshes are very similar to static meshes, then I don't think it's possible. With static meshes, if the engine can render any part of it, it renders all of it.

I assumed UDK would have some sort of clipping volume
      Thanks for the response.

clipping volume as far as i know just clip what is completel behind it. Anyway i think that in static mesh properties is field that allow it to work like clipping volume.

You can also solve this problem with material instances.
