    mesh help?

When I test my map in the ut3 game most of my meshes are black for some reason. They look okay in the unreal editor but not in the game. Can someone help?

Did you try adding a skylight actor (assuming your using "additive" mode)?

You mean light. Yes there is light. For some reason the when I create meshes like boxes, it doesn't load. All you see is a black shape box but it doesn't load the color on it. It's the same thing with the wall on my level. It's not black but it looks weird.

Well, there are a few different types of lights. A skylight casts an even amount of light through out the entire level, but you need the map to be in "additive" mode for it to really work.

Using this will help fill in the black areas.

I also presume you rebuilt the lighting (or did a "rebuild all"). You should do this before testing the map, especially if you have changed lighting or added any meshes/BSP.

Now if the meshes are black and you did the above, it's hard to tell with out seeing the map (unless you set the mesh to not receive any lighting).

You can always send me the map and I can take a look at it (odedge at odedge dot com).

Maybe the mesh has accept lights set to false in it's properties. Just a suggestion!
