    Postprocessing question

I am currently using postprocessing to make a map look better, and i have two questions:

-is it possible to desaturate colors using postprocessing?

-how do i add a postprocessing effect to an area, around a specific item.
    ill explain:
Ive got the main area of CTF-Face3, but i want to add postprocessing to the skybox only.
Does anyone know how to do this?

    Read this.
Then place a volume surrounding your skybox and experiment.

I actually already kinda read it
But that is the issue im pointing out: the post processing only works within a PPvolume, is it possible to only apply it to the skybox, and not the main area?
so its kinda like an inverted volume: not inside the volume, but outside the vollume will get PP effects

Make a different shaped volume. C'mon.

          What do you mean?
Ive tried adding a PP volume, but it only shows the effects when inside that volume.
Ill draw it out for you:

So, i have the worldinfo PP applied to the complete map, but i want to add more PPeffects to only the outter area of the map, how do i do that?

replace values of level pp with volume pp?

              how do you mean?

              let me explain even more:
I want to add more PP effects to the outter area, but since you cant get there, they will have to be visible from the main area...
so having some PP volume, but not affect the main area...
              is this possible?

it's not possible to add PP to your skydome with using a pp volume since you have to enter in the said volume to be affected by the post porcess...

depending to what kind of effect you want obtain on your skydome, but if it's just a desaturation or something like that I suggest you to work directly on your sky material to obtain what you wish.

Well, I actually want to crank up the contrast a bit. and modifying the materials will be a pain in the *** :/

look at a stock map that has a similar effect or similar approach (CTF-reflection). Its all about the distance applied to the effect you want.

Go into world properties and create the effect you want, then make the start distance about 5000 unreal units. You can alter the distance after.

                      Hope that helps!
