    Static mesh activate trigger?

    Hi guys, new here and just getting into all this.

    Im just trying to make a trigger that opens a door but closes it as soon as the player steps off. Now the key to this would be to take a static mesh of a barrel that I have made and place it on the trigger and taadaa... you get the point.

    How do I make the trigger responsive to static meshes?

    any help much appreciated.

    First of all, you can't place a static mesh on a trigger because static meshes don't move. If you want a barrel that you can shoot to move it, then place it in the level as a Kactor. You won't be able to pick it up and carry it on its own, but here is a tutorial (not by me) that shows you how to make objects that can be picked up and even thrown.
