Weapon factory help

I actually have 2 questions.
1. is there anything special i need to do to a weapon factory for it to recognize the weapon pick up light floating literally inches above it.

2. what is the significance of the weapon pick up light.

Any tips and help will be greatly appreciated.

Each weapon or item pickup that regenerates from a pad needs a pickup light. There is no way around it nor any real significance beyond you need to have one so people can actually see where the weapons are. The weapon should recognize the pickup light as it's own. You could prefab the weapon factory and the pickup light together so you are able to move them together.
