    character slides off skeletal mesh

    hello,

i've made a ferris wheel that animates well in game but when the player jumps into a moving car they remain motionless, that is they dont stick to the floor of the car as it goes by. this has the effect of the player sliding along the floor of the car. is there a way to make the player stick to the floor of the car?

the wheel itself is a skeletal mesh set to collide-all and set up as per geodavs vehicle tut (cheers chap!). the slower the animation plays the better the collision but no effect with the lack of stickiness.

    please help chaps

You might try a volume to alter physics/ gravity in the area, or even put a small ladder volume- making sure to uncheck physical ladder in properties. Then just animate that to move with the wheel. You could also add some small geometry to give traction and prevent the player from sliding away, something small and then take away its visibility.

thought it might have to be a workaround!

never used a ladder volume before so i'll give that a crack first, thanks for the help
