    collision problem

    hi
ive built a static mesh in max and imported it over and it works fine except that when i spawn a vehicle it just goes through the mesh entirely does anyone know how i can fix this?

By default imported meshes don't have any collision defined (unless you imported your own custom collision mesh with the object).

If the object is fairly simple in shape (simple square-like or circle-like) I'd recommend having UT3 auto-generate the collision for you. You can do this in the generic browser by double clicking on the imported object, going to the collision menu and finding which option works for you. I'd also recommend turning collision on in the 'view' menu so you can see the bounds that will be established on it.

The other option is defining collision inside Max and importing it with the mesh. I'd save that for more complex projects where the first option isn't viable.
