    Best PS3 Design Practices (Memory?)

    Hey guys,

I am finishing up my level and thanks to everyone's help it is going super-smooth, can't believe what a great resource this forum is.

I've been using the PS3 version as a benchmark for performance for the sake of maintaining good frame rate on lower-ended PC's. However, I'm using a lot of custom textures (bad practice, I know, tsk tsk) and my texture memory usage is currently at a whopping 359MB (versus the 400-oddMB on some of the Epic maps). I'm wondering, where is the brick wall with texture/overall memory size that the PS3 refuses to load the level? I can't find a concrete number.

Also, on PS3 cooks, are the textures scaled down? My eyes tell me yes, but I'm not sure by a factor of -what- though. Is there a way to keep the PS3 cooker from doing this on certain textures?
