Never worked with animation before.
I finished my model of a double barrel shotgun today. I am to the point to where I need to set up the weapons animation when its fired. The idea is that I want it to kick back and to the left a bit and then when the gun gets back to its first position I want to open up the barrels to reload it.
I have modeled the gun and right now it is separated into 3 parts. The handle, the barrels and the hand grip (underneath the barrels). My question is do I connect all 3 pieces together and then start animation? Or do the animation and then connect them together?
