    texture scaling problem

    hey chaps,

    i have a bsp 2048x2048x2048 that on each face i want to put a 2048 texture on.

    i select a face and the material with the 2048 texture applied but the texture is scaled madly. why doesn't it just fit to the face? i tried scaling in the material editor with uv coordinates but had to input some seemingly random number to get close but still it wouldnt fit exactly...

    complete noob in need of urgent help!

    Right-click on the material, Surface Properties, and set up your UV scaling.

      or shortcu F5 and raise/lower UV tiling.

        thanks for the reply chaps, little bit of fiddling and i got there. I think i just lost patience at it not being as easy as plonking it on and there we go.

          better use tileable texture for best results.

            Note that 2048 Unreal Units is going to really stretch 2048 pixels.

              The texture will also only display at 1024x1024 for standard World geometry textures...
