    Enhancing Normal Maps?

    Hey every1,

i remember a thread on this forum about making normal maps really high powered, like when you see them in the Crazybump preview, etc. I was wondering how i could do this in UnrealEd (i remember ffej said something about multiplying the map with a Constant3Vector or something in the material editor). i would just like to know how i can really exxadurate them/bring them out.

    thanks every1

I believe I did say that. You simply multiply the normal map TextureSample by a Constant3Vector with R anf G set to 1 and then you adjust the B value to your liking. I believe setting B lower than 1 will increase the effects of the normal map and setting B higher than 1 will reduce the effects of the normal map.
