    Brush has non-coplanar polygons warning[solved]

hello, I am using custom brushes in my map and I'm getting a "Brush has non-coplanar polygons" warning when building my map. Is this something serious? I'm not a pro at working with geometry. I'm hoping this is something that will not cause any issues later. Any input?

I'm no expert, but I would assume that your custom brush has some 4-point polygons (quads) and they are not perfectly flat.

I would further assume that if you convert your brush to all 3-point polygons (tri's) in your 3d app before importing into UnrealEd it would fix the problem.

    I could be completely wrong.

I'm using the brush from in UE, just reshaping it. Nothing too crazy.

the shape is uniform on all sides.

There is a reference to that error here.

I would personally do that with several brushes, I think your problem is that you are working with a concave brush, use 3 convex brushes instead.

thanks for the tips, the UDN page helped. I was trying to place these brushes at roughly 45 degrees and I must have rotated/scaled them in the wrong direction. Problem has been corrected.
