    3Ds MAX

    how do i add material slots in 3Ds MAx so UT can see them & let me put more than one texture on it

            There is still a Multi/Sub-Object material in your version of Max. Create one with as many slots as materials you want on your mesh. Assign bitmaps to the Diffuse Map of each slot. Apply the material to your mesh. Make sure you have assigned Material ID's to the polys of the mesh to match the slots of the material.

              but only 1 gets meshed
              the others do not accpet the material number i enter i enter

                You need to be a little more descriptive and a little more clear. I am having trouble understanding what you are trying to say. You can't assign Material ID's to the polys of the mesh?

                  where the box for entering the Material ID number i add 2 but the box clears it self each time
