    [3ds Max 9] Some n00b questions

Allright, just started with Max 9 but i can't seem to figure out how to create some new vertex-points between 2 selected vertex-points.

Also, if i create a simple cube and select the upper left vertex-point in the Top-view, why does it only select the upper vertex-point when looking in the perspective-mode?

In UnrealEd, it selects also the other vertex-points on the same row. (from the Top-view it selects all the vertexes under the one you've selected) How can i do that in Max 9?

I've tried some tuts, but they didn't answer my questions.

I work with it converted to an editable poly so to create new vertex you can cut in the vertex mode or in edge mode you can insert a vertex on an edge.

To select all verts in a row drag a box around them with the left mouse button.

Ok, selecting verts in a row is too easy. I could know that.

But can you explain a bit how i can add an extra vertex-point between 2 existing vertex-points?

If you start up max and press F1 you get the user referances.

Expand "Surface Modeling" then expand "Polymeshes" then select "Editable Poly (Edge)" now scroll down to "Interface" and it will explain how to insert a vertex on an edge between to vertices.

          Thank you!

My problem is, i'm almost done with one flagbase of my upcoming CTF-map (5vs5) and i want to replace some placeholder-brushes by static meshes and i want to have this done pretty fast, so i can move on with the map.
