    shadows

I need to have light coming through windows and casting window-shaped shadows on the floor. I tried a tutorial to give the spotlight a function, but because I have several windows in a line, I created several spotlights which projected an image (the window shape) on the floor. This looked great but slowed the frame rate a bunch. I can't get the light to pass only through the windows. It doesn't seem to get blocked by the ceiling. Can anyone tell me is there a way to get the ceiling to block out the light except for the window, or do the light projection?

maybe you should just have a regular spotlight (dont have it project an image) and have it pointing through the window like you have right now.

then all you need to do is edit the floor so it has higher resolution shadows. to make the shadows appear nice and strong like you want them to, im going to need to know this:

is it a BSP bloor or a static mesh floor?
