    Won't cook for PS3

I've tried several times to cook my map for PS3. It never works, but there are no errors.

I hit cook, it doesn't ask for a mod name, then it goes through the cooking procedure without any errors and then creates absolutely no files afterwards (and gives me no link to the inis, probably because there is no 'mods' dir created).

If I can't cook maps myself for the PS3 then someone else will have to do it I guess...

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS. Here's what it tells me when I cook:

Running: UT3.exe CookPackages -platform=PC DM-Pure -alwaysRecookmaps -alwaysRecookScript -user -installed -updateInisAuto

I assume you are using the cooker frontend and specifying the PS3 as the target platform? What exact settings are you providing on the frontend? Are you following the tutorial on Epic UDN?

      I followed this tutorial:

      http://gearsforums.epicgames.com/sho...php?p=25226173

I'll check out this tutorial and see if anything works differently:

      http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/PS3Mods.html

EDIT: one thing of note is that when I started my level I created an outside package for all my textures called Brits_TempleStuff.upk, so I dunno if maybe that is causing problems at all...??

You can check out the files of my map via the link in my sig.

I also posted a short tutorial on PS3 cooking here.

You should keep all relevant assets in the actual map file instead of an external package. There are too many issues with keeping things outside of the map itself, especially with unreal engine 3. They only time IMHO that you should use external packages is if you are creating a full Mod or TC.

Yeah, I saw your post about it regarding publishing etc.
Didn't see that post till it was too late :P

Still, I should be able to cook it for PC even with the outside package right?

So long as the cooker can see the packages it should work.

              Thanks so much DG.

Basically for the PS3 cooking I forgot to actual check off PS3 instead of PC (that stage wasn't in the tutorial I used).

After using your tutorial, everything went smoothly. Hopefully the PS3 version works though, I haven't tested it.
