    BSP Plane/Sheet Materials, Newb Question

Why it it that it seems that a sheet/plane type of BSP brush cannot have a material applied to it.

I made a flat panel with the sheet BSP brush, clicked on it, and it did not highlight as a normal surface. Normally I would open up the material browser, select a material, then click the surface to apply the material. However I can't click on the plane/sheet added brush.

    Am I doing this wrong?

Did you tried to flip the sheet? (highlight the sheet with rightclick, then choose Transform -> Mirror Z Axis)

Now you can probably select it's face for applying a texture.

Select the surface first, then go to the material and click on it.

I guess he can't click the surface of the sheet. I had that problem too, but as i said earlier, flipping the sheet with Mirror Z Axis will work.

Melvin is correct. If u cannot get it using a BSP sheet then try this.

Open LT packages and look for WinFrame glass mesh.
Add that in and get it where u want it.

Have you wanted material highlighted in your generic browser.

Try selecting the mesh and go into properties.
          go to static mesh component,rendering,materials

add a new item with the + plus key
click the newly added blank item and hit the green arrow to assign
the selected material in the generic browser to your mesh.

          set collision as u wish.

Hope that helps or at least gives u options.

          Good Luck.
