UI Scene Timer

Im trying to make a timer. I have figured a way out to make it using the standard log procedure, but that doesnt look very good. I read somewhere on here someone said you can make a timer using UI Scene. Ive looked on the web and i cant find anything.

Anybody have any info on this, or has done it?
