    QUESTION ABOUT - 3ds Max

    does it matter how big your model is in 3ds Max to import it into Unreal Tournament 3.

    Yes it does.
    If you are attempting to import an entire map or a large portion of one, don't.
    There is a limit on the number of verts/triangles for a single mesh and a large single mesh map won't cull at all so the framerate will tank.
    If you are creating a player/vehicle/weapon model, then you want to stick with triangle counts that are similar to those already in UT3.

      Do you know where i can find average poly counts, so i just load up a character like a gow character and scale my onjects against him?

        The triangle count for each character, weapon and vehicle is listed in the generic browser right with the skeletal mesh item.
