    Can somebody please explain me how to make a skybox/skydome?

    Hi all,
    I'm making a map for UT3 but i don't know how to make a skydome, i'm a n00b so can you please help me?
    My map is additive fyi.

      yes but what do i need to do with it? place it over my level, place it in a separate room like in 2k4?

              Just place it in your level and then raise the drawscale.

                shouldn't have to if you use the right mesh. there are full sized skydome meshes that do the job immediatly if you right click and add in the center of the level. they're big

                  In max, make a sphere and in the Parameters, Hemisphere = 0.5 then, right-click the sphere and Convert To: Convert To Editable Poly. Then under Selection, select the solid red square(polygon) and select all the polys on the bottom of the sphere. Delete them. Then in your Modifier List find Normal and apply it; your sphere's polys should be outside in. You then Edge select the bottom edge of the sphere and Move it down so it looks like a cylinder at the bottom. Apply a mat, uvw, export, and your done.
