  • complete TUTORIALS guide

I assembled a guide with all of the UT3 mapping tutorials I've been able to find on the 'net and arranged it in a way that makes it easiest to go from n00b to pro. The guide is here: http://www.icecreamyou.com/ut3.html

UPDATE 4/25/2008: The site has switched to using a CMS instead of static HTML pages, so the links in your bookmarks should drop the .html suffix. I'm leaving the old pages functioning for now though because at the time of writing there might still be some issues with the tutorials on the new site.

The new UT3 tutorial index is at http://www.icecreamyou.com/ut3

Just a general update: a few more tutorials have been added here and there, and IronMonkey was kind enough to write a tutorial on Blender (the free 3D modeling program) for the site. You can find it at http://www.icecreamyou.com/blender.html

Many more updates are coming. Latent Image, who wrote the CSS for the site, has agreed to maintain the tutorial guides (plural, because there's one for UT2004 too) so expect a huge update to the UT3 guide sometime relatively soon.

                Thanks for the feedback guys.

Oh cool! I'm gonna check the Blender tut right now

Edit - starting to read this. It mentions you need to install Python. I'm using the ASE export script fine and I didn't install Phython other than what installs with Blender 2.45. It wouldn't hurt though to have it, its needed for some other scripts like the Collada export option.

                          Happy Birthday

                          Great website, too, very comprehensive!

I'd like to suggest a couple of good theory tutorials:

The website has just been redesigned one last time. The old website still exists (for now) but I've started using a CMS to make everything easier to manage. That means the links stay basically the same but drop the .html suffix. At least at the time of writing, the tutorials might also have some formatting quirks that need to be ironed out from the transition.

Not right now I think, since it's not natively supported in the editor. If you find one though, I'll be happy to add it.
