    Problems with Directional Light and StaticMeshes (Shadows)

    hi,

    i try to build a dawn scenario, for this i used a directional light, as read on some tutz.
    after setting up the properties to get a shadow of the staticmeshes the result looks more like this:
    (i built a test map, so i dont need to compile my whole map always again)


    i had nearly the same result by using a normal light, and it looks the way i want it to:

    but this is not the right solution as i want

    plz help, i actually couldnt find anything which fit my problem here. if some one could help explain it for a n00b so i can get it to
