    Particle Emitter Overview

It's amazing how much the emitter properties have changed. I can tell that it will take me some time to figure it all out. I mean I am starting to understand some of it but there is one thing that bothers me. What is the point of the line chart in the bottom-right window? Is that just for color change, or is there something more to the line chart? What I want to know is what do the numbers on the x-axis represent and what do the numbers on the y-axis represent?

The curve editor is used to visually edit properties which are set to change over time. Many of the properties within the various modules can be set up to be animated and the curve editor makes editing the values of the keys defining the curve much easier and intuitive.

Each module has a small button you can click to send the curves for that module to the curve editor so they can be altered. Once a curve is in the curve editor, you can add and remove keys and perform various other functions.

Though you told me this, I probably will still not understand the curve for a while.

The vertical axis usually measures the values for each variable... Let's just say, Size over life....

The horizontal axis usually either represents the life (0.0000-1.0000) or a set amount of time, OR they act as keyframes, just like a Matinee actor.
