I am working a map now and I NEED a few ladders - I could use jump-pads- but they are giving me issues as well - not working for some reason . . . and they would not meld as well in the map I am making. Thanks in advance for the help guys. . . and good luck with that map - it really looks good - wouldn't mind trying it out when your done . .
Jumppads need to target a Pathnode. It's a good idea to place that node higher than it puts it as default. When you re-build paths and check out the paths in the viewport ("P" key while in an editor viewport), you'll see a purple arch from just above the jump pad to the pathnode.
Some people say to use a "tag" on the node or whatever, then put that into the target field... Well, that way always gives me issues, but I just click on the Node and use it's name as the target...
didn't mean to 'jack the thread, this really wasn't the place for the above post, but there ya have it.
Still looking forward to Timberland being finished.
