    CTF-FACE-Remixx





    Here's what I got so far, the necris and izanagi bases are almost done, but still need to figure out what the background should look like(any suggestions?), space is my first choice, but not sure if that's too cliche. We'll see.

      I noticed somebody was making the CLASSIC map, I thought I'd make something a lil more....up2date.
      Wierd why epic didn't include that map remade in any form. Kind of a let down. But that's what modders are for eh?

            Nice twisted two Faces, something fresh after Egyptian menace!

            I have just 3 small pointers:
            In original faces it was possible to transloc-climb up wall behind or on sides of tower, it was also possible to carefully jump down with flag. So please "build that into new version", that sneak and hide game with flag was half of fun of this map. Other half was flacking all those leet sniper campers.

            Meshes on bottom of your tower seem to be scaled up a lot. This means textures may be too big and look odd from close distance. So please cover very bottom (where players can easily walk and see) with some detailed static meshes. Or just break that scaled up look.

            Shape of ground between towers is very important, keep angles and 2 separate paths. Ground need to have just right slope so it is not too hard or not too easy to snipe flag runner.

              It looks hawt but...Your not building your map in subtractive space are you? If you are its gonna make your life all kinds of **** when you reach the point of making a skydome for it.

                That looks really good. ;o Looking forward to seeing the end result, great work.

                And don't fear, Epic has said it'll be making a Face remake for a Bonuspack. That version will probably stay close to its roots (although I wonder how close, seeing UT3's art style).

                            hey dude, it looks cool, but do you remamber that map from UT2003 ... it was also face (i guess) and it was for CTF and were done in Egyptian style... well, I am vert bad at mapping and it seems that i can never make it myself... i've heard about some program (on some russian forum, i am russian) that converts ut 200x stuff to a ut3 map, but it is beta now and theres no lights and other stuff...

                            can you remake this egyptian-style face ctf map, please??? i know it seems hard to do, but there's no need to put much effort in it, not much about design, just same geometry and at least some familiar textures to save this egypt-like atmosphere...

                            damit, i really, really loved that map...

                              Oh my god, that is simply awesome. This will most likely be the best map ever made. CTF-Face has always been my favorite map in the UT series, and I cannot wait to play this!
