Level made by following the first 5 Tutorials in the UT3 CE

    Hi,
This is a level made by following the first 5 tutorials in the UT3 Collector's Edition. I am not posting it in the Maps forums because it's not really a LEVEL, it's just a warm up into the UnrealED and a practice in working with the tools, applying textures, and putting in static meshes. Please let me know of any feedback you have, especially about the lighting. Hopefully you'll see a properly made Map from me soon.
Here are links to 4 screenshots and a zip file containing the map. I would like to remind people here that this map is in NO WAY meant to be played against bots or online, it's simply the result of practicing with UnrealED and isn't meant to be played, is simply meant to be looked at .

        Thanks CrysAK.
matorme! I guess the screen shot unavailable thing was just temporary. Let me know if the problem persists and I'll upload the files somewhere else.

Looks good - this CE tutorial level seems smaller than the one in the UT2004 CE.. that one was like a tower with circular pathways around it.

                  Thanks all,
Yeah this one is easier than the UT2K4 one and I like that. That tutorial covered too much stuff at once not to mention I didn't particularly enjoyed using UnrealED 3.0.
And yeah we should have had the dragon mesh, there was something similar which I use in here though.
Thanks again for your feedback on this. Hopefully I'll come up with a better and playable level soon ... with bot paths and particle systems... and triggered doors .... huhhh ... Mapping is FUNNN...!

I knew i should have bought the se version.
The editor is a nightmare when you dont have a clue on certain things

There are some links to some really good tutorials here http://www.unrealplayground.com/foru...ad.php?t=48153
I would recommend reading Hourences' tutorials and also this page

These are a couple of video tutorials in both the Gears and UT3 editor (which are more or less the same thing) that outline several aspects of the editor to get you started. They aren't as good as the CE tutorials but, well they're still pretty good.
                      Have fun.

I kinda figured that it's worth the extra ten bucks . The CE Tuts aren't in depth as the older UT2k4 VTMs though. There are several things that they have skipped because I believe they are the same as the last version of UnrealED so the older VTMs are still valuable for this (I think).
