Can't see Terrain Layers

I was following the Terrain Tutorial of Hourences . . .

Don't supose to be a Material here ? . . .

I can't put anything ! Allways remains the word "None" . . .

I think youve created "new layer" in the terrain editting window, instead of "New layer from material". You're missing a terrain material. You cannot enter something in the material slot because it can only accept Terrain Materials, not regular Materials.

Try again, this time around using New Layer From Material, be sure to have the desired material selected before you do so.

Alternatively you could also expand the Layer in the terrain window and rightclick - new Terrain material or some similar option. Or, manually create one by rightclick the generic browser - new terrain material.
