    DM-Pride 2K12

Well! And after a development time, here is my first map, and also my first contact with a graphics engine.

"Pride 2K12" is a Deathmatch map (16-32 players) made for UT3. Includes full path for IA.

The layout, more symmetrical by design, is what we usually see in a CTF, however, I decided to make it Deathmatch since my goal was to give the player a "Kill'em all" pure, no team, leveraging everything is fighting in a coliseum, with little coverage, a lot of adrenaline and little time to think.

The inclusion of vehicles was motivated by the idea of giving himself multilevel map, there are three levels:

The first one, the upper, where the vehicles are more versatile (Scavengers) and medium access . Roll and roll downhill to land in the war zone is something you should try ^ ^.

The upper level is accessed through the middle, a ring that crosses all over the map, with an average coverage through the pillars and allowing descentente itinerary, but not upward, unless you have the translocator found only in the ducts side.

The WarZone, the heart of the coliseum. Here we develop all the killing. It has several coverages: vents and ducts that connect to the lower level / hangar, water cells containing EMP mines, anti-vehicle and anti-personnel mines. These ducts will in turn supply not only for players who have no car, but will be a trap for vehicles that do not pay attention. There is a invisibility boost placed at the center of the Warzone.

Both ends of the war zone have a sniper rifle and a platform that serves as a cover, again, as a countermeasure to handicap vehicle that will run out in the wide area.

In the north and south will be accessed by jumping to the top level. Also placed six Scorpions, that the slaughter will slow players with those reflections in the war zone. However, within the Scorpions players must be careful with the ducts, and that will fall to the lower level and die by the tanks.

This level also 3 connectors are located in the lower level. Two in the east and one in the West. For these ramps will the tanks in the hangar.

The access to the corridors surrounding the arena side in three places. Two from each extreme north and south, and one on the western side.

In two of these side are two Translocator, which can be used to reach levels with the most versatile vehicles in a faster way, as long as the player gets survive long enough.

The conduts are single direction, of curved shape, so that one can not see what comes defrente or behind. A Scavenger or a Scorpion can make a real butcher if they can sneak into!

Finally, the hangar. In this room are the two beasts vehicles, and also the redeemer. The hangar will provide good coverage against tanks and effective weapons to defend against them, however. If a player wants the tank, should be quick to get one, and then, must leave as soon as possible and live up to the war zone where time will havoc it can stay alive. On the other hand, the player who wants the Redeemer, will have to survive the tanks, and finally out alive or shoot the redeemer by one of the conducts that connect to the war zone. The hangar with two ducts connected to both the north and south, and west and east. It has two tanks where it is difficult poisonous step, which will make more of a player dying from an oversight or being pushed by a rival. Can not get out of the poison, so it is better to kill as many players as you die in the poison or push your opponent directly with you to death inside the pond.

The light barriers surrounding the Coliseum served containment, bursting anyone trying to leave the arena.

Be your own Pride in 2K12!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy it! And i´ll apreciate your feedback sooo much!

    awesome huge map!

OK, so where do I start? First, I don't really think you need the vehicles in this one to have fun and it needs author's name in preview shot. Also, you can briefly get stuck on some stairs and I might need a "newer than 2009" rig to properly run this map (I believe I sense a few slow downs). Now that the bad stuff is out of the way. This one has a nice atmosphere that's busier than a one-legged bee in a honey factory; holy spheres of H2O barfman! I like the spinning logos, pedestrals, huge statues, towers, asteroids, surrounding arena, pools and towers of goo, tunnels as well as music choice. This is definitely an exploration map best played as TDM; WTF is with that "negative" image glass floors on the outer ring?! This map is not for the timid or anyone with turrets syndrome either. Have fun with it, but remember, you have been warned!

      Ey SkaarjMaster!

Before starting, thanks so much for taking your time playing Pride and give me your feed, i really appreciate that mate !

I´ve taken note of all your advices. Performance was one of my little nightmares. I tried to optimize as much as possible (with my inexpertise in mind :P) but i can not "kill" that little slow down when you are in the middle of the map with all that meshes in the screen at the same time, but i´ll do it better next time, i promise! .

I really appreciate the time you've taken to explore the map details and I will have in mind all the pros and cons for future work.

And thanks for take gamebanana link! i forgot add it ^^

Beautiful map, yet low and medium spec PCs are going to have a hard time trying to run it.
My PC can perfectly run the latest games with no lag, though I did notice a minor slow down by the middle of the map as well.
Anyway, after witnessing that gorgeous level design, I can forgive this lag
        Keep up.

Good work! - especially for a first design and first experience the Unreal3 Engine.

You can imbed screen shots in your post with the screenshot tag (there is a limit of like 10 or so I think)
