Wow, this pack has some truly 'Epic' maps. Visually these are such a blast - I keep getting shot cause I can't take my eye off the surroundings.

Sadly the maps don't fit game play, I'd say visuals are inversely proportional to it. But the VCTF maps were an improvement. I reckon many DM maps would play so much better in WAR or VCTF modes.

Nevertheless thanks for all the eye candy.

epic map pack!

OK, so maybe the gameplay of most of these does not fit the style of most of you, but you really need to take this maps as they are and then judge them. For one, I like variety and these really take it to the other edge of huge and "fun to explore" maps. So here it is, one map at a time:

CTF-MistyElegyOfTheFutureCity > Aqua is your color and so is your city..................feel aqua, be aqua, barf aqua. This is one f-ed up map and definitely a different kind of map and the exploring is a little fun. Although, it's too bright and the bots are not.

DM-DevourerOfSpace > a huge and extremely detailed Necris map with a good skybox of space and great lighting. This one seems to be like a Necris Tokara forest sort of and I like the activity up high with the red lasers and spinning disc thing. The gameplay is wide-open and this map could support a lot more than 12 players as long as the spawn locations are there. Actually, most of these maps could support more players. And nothing like a good thrash metal track to brighten the atmosphere.

DM-FutureCity > looks like a DM version of the insane aqua map above. I did just notice the nice spaceship taking off from downtown though and WTF is that in the ceiling a stuck bot or a centaur? Nice banners and the bots are a little better in this one.

DM-NecrisTitanus > same tex/meshes as DevourerOfSpace above, but stock music track. I like this spaceship version and bots aren't too bright. I like the teleporters, different levels of the ship and wide-open main area.

DM-Necrotank > Wow, this really is a tank and I like the detailed engines and wheels, etc. and good lighting. The gameplay is a lot better than I thought it would be (it was decent) and it was similar to some other ship map that I can't think of right now (Forbidden?).

DM-NewMoloch > This is one big MFing spaceship that I would call "Deathstar" Killer it's so big. This has great detail, textures, meshes and sound, etc. This is so big that I can't get a good shot with sniper rifle even zooming in. Just try this one and it could possibly support 24 on 24 TDM.

DM-Xenomania > standard stock music track, large space map with jumppads, don't fall, dark theme again; this one has Borg cubes and lots of sniping.

VCTF-DevourerInLiandriCity > stock music track, VCTF version of Devourer, bottom is too crazy, try the long top route.

VCTF-NecrotankInRlych > another metal music track to get your heart racing, dang hard to CTF in this and gameplay is mostly underneath tank.
