    Awesome graphics!
    DLing now and trying atm. I will edit when I find more words to describe it.

    edit: so, the water has no water effect+ no hoverboard limitation.
    Zkill must be higher, I can survive, even after falling in the big hole.
    The Base is too vulnerable at the start, there should be more protection for spawning's players.
    That's all for the moment, 'need to sleep ^^.

      Well I had it thouroughly tested by the GOW guys before I released this version, I felt that putting a water volume would have slowed down hoverboards too much which would have drastically affected gameplay with people carrying the orb. I coulda sworn I made the killzone higher than that, I even had that tested out on a private server with real live people, oh well no biggie I guess. I never felt the base is too vulnerable, that's why I added an avril and tons of vehicles to counter-act that kinda thing.

        Water effect can be solved with some pseudo-predefined ways of less deeper rocks.

                There is someone or a few someones that go around doing that to lots of people - i wouldn't take it personal, if someone is a mental hater then they may start following you around and tagging all your work with 1 star.

                As your friend and a mutual mapper, IMO; saying what you said only fans the flames. I'm not a huge fan of WAR at the moment (though i do like WAR, especially when i have more time) so i haven't played your map but if it's like any of your other work i'm sure it's not a 1 star special, probably 4 or 5 stars.

                If you delete your post send me a PM so i can delete this post too.

                You may or may not have caught it but one of our CTF contest winners had a thread a while back where he was called out on stealing / using the BSP from someone elses map, somehow it was settled in private and the posts relating to that incident disappeared, - a good thing IMO, it can keep us focused on more content and a better experience for the community. (and it also helped ensure a more successful future of the accused mappers career, so we'll get to see more of their great work)


                Also i could have told you this in PM but sometimes it's better to mention something like this for others to see so that they might not be so hateful, we are all either mappers / content developers or players here, all the same breed - how about a little professional respect for everyone! (this goes for all of us)

                While i'm on the subject i'd suggest that you try to be a little less hard on people, if your going to tell someone in a final that their lighting needs lots of work, suggest to them while your at it if they look like they aren't skilled enough to go straight to final to have a "beta phase" in the future or give them specifics and don't forget to tell them "good effort" while your at it, basic people skills & manners that so many of us lack (myself included sometimes) i have to remind myself that people are like kids with this, you can't just shoot them down without having anything nice to say unless someone is the type who enjoys making people feel bad (even subconsciously) - I don't see you that way Hitman, your not a hater, though i do feel your too gruff at times - i see you as enjoying this hobby and finding satisfaction in seeing others enjoy your work. I think we need to be successful at diplomacy as well in order to be successful at having our work well received by the community as a whole.

                I certainly hope you know i say all i've said as a friend and fellow mapper. (i don't think any of it was bad) - sometimes i've had someone who i consider a friend over-react though about silly stuff, (and i'm sure i've done the same) so i know that's always a possibility.

                If someone keeps giving you 1 star like they did on one of your last releases, as you keep a good attitude watch the other people flow in and vote you upto 4 or 5 stars. - Sometimes it's not even about how good the work is a much as it is about how good our attitudes, diplomacy, & people skills are in general.

                      i thought the snow theme was fine.. but new theme looks good. the water is a nice touch and i'm glad it doesn't effect gameplay.

                      hope to see more warfare maps from you in the future...

                        ^^ +1 Liked Winterbridge very much, initially wasn't too sure about the change in look, but have been very pleasantly surprised.

                        I'm a casual player so can't offer experienced feedback; however, from my perspective: it's your usual high-quality work; visuals are excellent, gameplay's smooth and fast-paced. WAR maps are usually too involved for me, but this has helped me enjoy War a whole lot more

                          Yes I did think about opening up the map to have a bigger WAR map, but then I tested it as it was and it turned out to be alot more fast paced with just one node per team. I might do the same again, out-door or even indoor to mix things up a little bit.

                            Hitscan weapons cannot reach you.
                            This means it may be impossible to kill you easily.
                            Many players could exploit such things.

                            The sniper screenshot is not a bug, it was just a test.
                            You cannot shoot the blue core from the rocks near the red base.
                            (At least I did not manage it.)

                              Well I did have it thoroughly tested by the GOW guys, dunno how those bugs escaped the testing. I did leave the thread open for a week before I released the final, nobody else pointed out existing bugs / glitches. But the thing with forcedDirVolumes is that you can only block one class so I chose to block the raptors. I did put multiple blocking volumes in all possible areas of the map too, not like I was sloppy with it.
