DM-1on1-Katami [final] [05/01/09]

    Excellent atmosphere, architecture, clean layout, fun gameplay, love the cities and skybox outside. This map has clean modern textures (I'm sure that this is a HOLP look), vegetation, trims, basic z-axis and like the kimset sequence. One thing that the UDamage area is covered with grasses, vines and green fog. For what the others say that this should get an additional player count in this that's because of plenty of ammos and too much powerups, but for me, it's a splendid ride for fragging enjoyment.

    How did those matches go 1XTreme was talking about? Also, what invisible room?

    Looks like simple architecture and textures inside and I liked the cityscape and sky outside. The flooded floor, plants, and other little things adds to the atmosphere. Just another day at the office, but the bot got fired on the first day. What's with the shock core in the window, no, wait, that's the invisibility. Looks like we have another zip file naming fail. I like the music/ambient sounds and this is a fun 1on1 map!

    Been super busy, we're getting together for a lan tomorrow and we're going to test your map along with some others, I'll have some good feedback for you by the weekend i promise, i like to offer a unique critique in that; we've been around playing UT since the first demo, close to 10 years now, we were probably the best IG clan in the U.S.A at one point before things fell apart, when we play we do VS. bots 5 on 5 and we set them on god mode with the instagib mutator, don't ask me how we beat them ((and we do most of the time)) because sometimes they spawn kill you 6 times in a row on tighter maps, lol.

    Your map will be in the rotation when we play tomorrow and Friday, I'll let you know how it pans out under these particular circumstances, for us its the closest thing we've found to an old style tourney like we used to have on the ladders regularly when the first UT was very popular, sometimes the bots get a too jumpy and a bit campy toward certain areas ((such as by the flag on CTF)) So we'll DM each other on your map and we'll DM the bots. I'll talk to you in a day or two.

    I agree with the darkness trouble, I just discover I have a diference between what I see on my pc and how the map look on another, looks more dark on ohter computer than on mine, so I appologized for that, it's a mistake from me.
    As for the "tight" feeling on it, I agree too, but it was intentional since it's the kind of map I like to play.

    I like the theme, but sadly I don't like the map.

    This map is very very tight and restrictive to movement even in the main room or in that hallway with the trees it feels like I'm in a tiny little spot where if I dodge I will run into a wall half the way through the dodge. The damage amp feeds off of this making it very hard for the person without the damage amp to survive as you can't just dodge out of the way, but take the hits as you shoot back. Then there is the darkness which isn't that bad but if someone is invisible it makes it just unpleasant for the other party. Sorry for me its not a keeper.
