This Mark 2 revision has a host of tweaks, bug fixes, and small detail additions. While the previous version was somewhat polished, I got the map as clean as I foresee it ever getting with this release.

        Thanks for the nice comments

I hope people do like the map, I made it for the community to enjoy, but if you have any suggestions or even ideas for future maps don't hesitate to say it. I may be unable to change it immediately (I'm away from my desktop until the middle of august) but if it needs more work to be great then I'll do it.

Maybe this is a shameless bump but.....

I had an offer to cook this map for PS3 but it seems to have fallen through, haven't heard anything in more than a week. Also if anyone has any comments or critiques of the map I'd be happy to hear them.

            Enjoy!

This map is definitely one of my favorites. Gameplay may not be the best (due to the relatively simple circular layout), but this is more than compensated by the innovative design and unique atmosphere. The custom music suits the level really well, and adds that extra level of polish that makes a good map great. Aesthetically speaking, this is one of the best maps yet imo. So nice job, and by all means keep on mapping!

From what The Demon Slick told/showed me, there is a PS3 version of this map, but it's having some texture errors.

If I can get these errors patched up without access to a desktop or computer that can play UT3, then there will be a PS3 version sometime soon. If you're absolutely desperate and don't mind some checkerboard materials, Unreal-station.com has a thread on the cooking and a download link of the texture-bugged version.

If nothing else, there will be another version with proper fallback materials and any updates or additions which surface before I return home. Maybe by then the PS3 cooker can do audio as well, and the map can be fully ported.

                  Thanks!

Looks like an interesting map! Will definately check it out!

Regarding tha PS3 cook, was it done with an uncooked version of the map or did someone open the map up in the editor then resave it and cook that? If it was cooked that way then that could be why there's issues on the PS3 version. I found from testing that it's better to do a PS3 cook from the original uncooked map file. I've had weird texture issues when doing PC cooks on files that were originally cooked and reopened within the editor.
If you did the cook yourself and it was cooked from the original file then I'll go hide back in my corner!

Hope that helps. (and made sence)

                      If you don't know how to cook for the PS3 check this thread;

No, euchreplayer did it from the cooked map. Check us out here, LordPorksword, you'll save me a pm, you are in my column this week. http://unreal-station.com/index.php
The direct to the thread with error list is here:

I also want to say, the only real issue with it is some of the underground walkways are checkerboard. Not that big a deal to me personally, it plays fine. I don't think we could get the upk files right now because DaJMasta is away from his home rig for a while.

Luckily, I backed up my desktop before I left and have the backup drive with me (so I have the uncooked map). If a fix could be as simple as using the uncooked map, I'll contact euchreplayer directly and see what I can do to get it looking the way it should.

I actually wrote down some notes for an idea for my next map earlier today. In a departure from this design, but returning to my UT2004 roots, it will be a VCTF map with emphasis on scripted dynamic gameplay, physics, and effects.

That being said, I can't start work on it until the last week of august basically....
