{VAS} UT3 Volatile-Ammo Mutator v1.1





Introduction

First of all, Thank you for using this Mutator.

It is comprised of several features rolled into a single Mutator to control Shields in game. These features have been in use for quite some time and have a pretty good size following on older UT versions.

This Mutator will let Ammo explode when hit. Enjoy!









Installation


To install this Mutator:

Copy the Files in the zip to your ...\MyDocuments\MyGames\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\ Folder.

The Files should into their correct locations. Examples..
%zip%\Config\UTVASUT3VolatileAmmo.ini goes in ..\MyDocuments\MyGames\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config
%zip%\Published\Cooked\Scripts\VASUT3VolatileAmmo. u goes in ..\MyDocuments\MyGames\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\ Published\Cooked\ Scripts
.U files are now in the Scripts folder. If you have v1.0 or older please remove the VASUT3VolatileAmmo.u file from Cooked folder.



Modifications/Settings


* VolatileAmmoCount
Change how much ammo will explode! Settings in config menu 5 to 50.

* VolatileAmmoHeath
Set the health on ammo. When heath gets to 0 it will explode. Settings in config menu 0 to 300.
* VolatileAmmoDamage
Set the damage % of the Ammo effects

I agree. if anyone is up to speed on how to do this let me know i would be happy to cook it for PS3. or they can do it and send me the files i can add to download. I tried but it does not make the PS3 folder at end.

Bots will never know what hit 'em.

Edit: somebody probably already mentioned this, but the Stinger ammo has a generic (Flak?) explosion, instead of spraying impaling shards all over the place. Also, sometimes shock rifle pickups are indestructible, not sure about other ammo types. And the rockets fly kinda... slow?

Well one thing is for sure ... the PS3 version can't have Config menus so you will have to hardcode the values since there is no way to edit them on the PS3. I love this mutator and I definitely agree it would be fun on the PS3 if you can get it to work.

Yes the config is in INI file and would be set to default. Should work ok for PS3.

I submitted it on 6/27/08 still not up :-(

Wasn't there a mutator for the previous UT's called Volatile Weapon? Where the same effect would occur when you killed someone. It led to some large chain explosions when combined with the Volatile Ammo Mutator.

Any development on Volatile Weapon?
