    vCTF-Asunder

    A map made for the Make Something Unreal Contest, It takes place under a bridge and next to a Water Mill. This map includes 38 custom static meshes. Here are some screen shots!

    This download link to FilePlanet doesn't show the download link to download VCTF-Asunder but has a link to download DM-Sanctum and this download doesn't work.

    Just some feedback.

      judging from the screenshots, it looks way too bright for the statue, and you need to fix up the DOF effect, its very bad. Tune it up a bit, and it would look good

          The sky really doesn't match the whole thing nor it is appealing IMO, and I'm not quite digging that statue where it is. Nice job on the visuals though.

                    This feels like an alpha, your weapons lockers are floating 2 feet in the air, try placing them on the ground. Some of the rocks need their collision fixing, it is possible for get inside some of them, this is not good for gameplay, and will affect the flow of the map. The large bridge, has no collision on it whatsoever, it looks like it goes somewhere good, but you fall straight through. Spawn points around the flag will make it very difficult for someone to actually take the flag. Bot pathing is a mess, consequently the bots perform very poorly, try using a lot less pathnodes. The vehicle and weapons balance needs work, it's very easy to camp with a tank outside the red base and spawn kill, and as the weapons locker is outside, makes it basically impossible to do anything about it. Fix all the sticky points too, they're annoying when you're running backwards and you stop, due to a bad collision.

                      Since I beleive this should have been posted in the beta forum i am going to treat it as one.

                      I think this has the potentiol to be a prizewinner. HOWEVER, it is unpolished and not enough attention to detail went in. The map looks good and plays well but it is not finished. There are alot of floating staticmeshes, you need a blocking volume to stop you from going miles into the sky, lots of low detail textures should be replaced, lots of missing collision, I could go on and on.

                      It is a fun map and definately a keeper for me, but it is not finished. Please do not stop working on this, post this in the beta forum and accept our help. Please.

                        why did you post the exact same thing under every single one of his maps? i feel like i am in the twilight zone. like robots are posting on this guy's threads.

                          The OP has potential as a mapper, but really should spend more time on his maps. Pay attention to gameplay and detail. Work on the lighting alot. Make sure players can't go where they're not supposed to. Make sure static meshes are aligned and properly lit.

                              Becuase that is what I think he should have done, If he wants to enter the MSUC with a chance of winning then he needs to: A spend more time on his maps and B accept our help.

                              These maps all have huge potentiol, Please dont let it go to waste... well almost waste.
